NASA successfully activates Roman telescope’s 300-megapixel camera
NASA successfully turned on the Wide Field Instrument, a 300-megapixel infrared camera aboard the Roman Space Telescope, while it travels toward its deep-space observation post. Its planet-hunting Coronagraph also passed early checks. Roman is on track to deliver its first science images in early 2027.
